Livia's Story

Livia Rees is a lot of things.

She is a nutrition and fitness expert with over 30 years of health and fitness experience.

She is a Pro Athlete and holds five titles in the competitive fitness world.

She was a regular ‘health news’ TV presenter with Latest TV, Brighton UK

She is an entrepreneur.

She is a mother to three amazing young adults!

And, Livia is passionate about supporting women through their menopause.

When Livia was 42 menopause hit her unexpectedly.

“Ten years ago, early menopause blindsided me. One minute I was enjoying a successful career, happy marriage and great sex life, and the next my world was crumbling around me. It simply didn’t occur to me as a fit 40-year-old woman that I was in the throes of menopause. It’s not something you talked about, and certainly not something our mothers or teachers told us about.”

What felt like overnight she began to experience extreme fatigue, lack of focus and suffered from abject overwhelm. She consulted her GP who prescribed antidepressants without even testing her hormone levels. This can be very common as the possibility of depression and mood disorders that can accompany menopause may be overlooked. Livia remembers saying to her GP, “I am not depressed” and sought a second opinion.

Liv then embarked on her journey of discovery. With a lack of information and support around at the time, she had to figure most of it out on her own. By harnessing everything she knew about fitness and health she discovered a way to regain control of her hormones, her energy and her weight via food choices and adjusting exercise.

The solution was Menopause Livia

Livia came up with a solution to manage the symptoms of menopause with exercise and diet. Lifestyle changes make a difference to us all. Always seek medical advice, but adapt your daily habits to ease your symptoms too. The Menopause Livia method is purely about being consistent with healthy habits. Let’s embrace the beautiful phase of womanhood this stage of life can bring. Livia has since committed herself to women’s health and spreading the message of Menopause Livia to women all over the world.

From her research, experience and knowledgebase, Livia has developed the Resista method, which is a specific way of working out for women on their menopause journey. Livia also developed The Nutratonin Diet to help women with their nutritional needs in peri-menopause, menopause & beyond.

“My passion has always been to help more women by using methods I have not only researched but have seen work for myself and from working closely with my clients throughout the years.

It is my mission to help as many women as I can by sharing my knowledge and my story.”
